Remember how exciting it was to get stickers
for a job well done in kindergarten? Our points are our homemaking
stickers. We use a points system to keep track of our daily
missions and challenges. These missions and challenges encompass
daily chores, gardening, family finances, personal well being and
keeping up positive relationships with family and friends.
I started the points system to help motivate me
in my daily and weekly household duties. As a home manager, I
always felt that my job was thankless and sometimes not so fun.
Well with the Purple Points that has all changed.
My purple points are my home management
paycheck. It is how I know that I did a great job that month.
With the challenges I get a sense of competition but without any
pressure. I do not feel pressure because I am competing against
myself.
We keep track of our purple points monthly and
give ourselves a goal. When we reach our goal for the month we give
ourselves a little reward. This reward can be anything like a trip
to your favorite mall for window-shopping, a coffee at the local
coffee bar or those new kitchen towels you have been admiring. Is a
month to long to wait for your reward?
Well then set your monthly goal but then set
small weekly goals and reward yourself in the manner that will keep
you motivated.
The reward is a gift to yourself and Purple

It is not mandatory to keep track of your goals
in Purple Chat and Challenge databases. However, many get even more
motivated when they see other members points go up each week.
